Please can someone help me as to why my brand new printer and cartridges, using the correct paper, is not printing my artwork clearly or with the correct saturation from my android phone? I didn't have this issue with my previous HP printer. And I need it to do prints to sell. I was told this printer was excellent for fine art prints. I'm devastated. My prints are just not picking up the lighter tones in my artwork and when I adjust the saturation, they look poor quality and just not the correct tones of the original artwork.

Hi @DebPetArtist,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Paper Selection: Ensure you are using the correct type of paper for printing artwork. Different paper types can significantly affect the color output and saturation. Verify the paper type setting in the printer settings matches the paper you are using.
Printer Settings on Android: Check the printer settings on your Android device. Make sure the print quality is set to the highest setting possible for optimal output. Sometimes, default settings can be set to lower quality to save ink.
Check Ink Levels: Even though you mentioned your cartridges are new, verify that they are properly installed and have adequate ink levels.
Calibration and Alignment: Perform an alignment and calibration of your printer to ensure the printheads are adjusted correctly. Check your printer's user manual for specific instructions.
Update Drivers and Apps: Ensure you have the latest updates for your printer's firmware and the app you are using to print from your Android device, such as HP Smart.
Manual Color Adjustments: If possible, manually adjust color settings before sending prints. Some printers and apps allow customization of color profiles.
HP Smart App: Use the HP Smart App for Android to help manage print settings and troubleshoot issues. You may find advanced settings to adjust print quality.
Test Print: Run a test print or a print quality diagnostics page from the printer itself to identify if the problem persists even without using the Android device.
Print from Different Devices: Try printing from another device, such as a computer, to determine if the issue is related to your Android phone or the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
