My HP Envy takes the 61 cartridges. Someone had given me a black 65 and said it would still work. I tried installing it and it said that it was incompatible. I took the 65 out, got a brand new black 61. When I installed it, I get the error message "at least one of the cartridges has a problem". I've tried the reset and the cleaning the contacts and all of that and I'm still getting the error message. Is there a way to fix this? Did I completely mess up my printer by putting a 65 in there one time for 5 seconds? The support options are refusing to give me a contact number to call support.
Which cartridges have you replaced, the Black or Tri-Color cartridge?
Which cartridge is indicated by the error message? a circle indicates the Black, 3 dots indicates the tri-color cartridge, it should be listed right above or below the error message on the printer screen.
