I have an error message that says that I have one or more cartridges missing. I used to have instant ink cartridges and I no longer needed the subscription, I no longer needed to use a printer. Today, I purchased a type 2 ink cartridge only black no colors. And the printer is saying I have missing cartridges. Can I please get some help as to why I am reviving this error message. I cannot print anything.

@Angie_days, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The error is happening because your printer is expecting the Instant Ink cartridges, which won’t work now that you've canceled the subscription.

To fix it:

Remove any Instant Ink cartridges from the printer.

Install the regular ink cartridges you bought.

Restart the printer to clear any errors.

Once you’ve replaced the cartridges, your printer should work with the regular ink. Let me know if you need more help.

Take care and have a good day.
