Hi @Lilmama202333,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Envy 4500 printer is designed to use HP 61 ink cartridges. While the HP 65 cartridges are not specifically intended for the Envy 4500 model, there's a chance they might physically fit into the printer. However, it's not recommended to use ink cartridges that are not specified for your printer model.

Printer manufacturers design cartridges to work with specific models, and using incompatible cartridges can lead to issues such as poor print quality, potential damage to the printer, or the cartridges not being recognized by the printer.

If you have purchased the wrong cartridges, your best option is to contact the retailer where you made the purchase and inquire about their return or exchange policy. Explain the situation, and they might be able to assist you with the correct cartridges or provide a refund.

Alternatively, you can try finding someone who needs HP 61 cartridges and is willing to trade for HP 65 cartridges.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
