It sounds like your HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 printer is experiencing an issue with the black ink cartridge not printing correctly, even after multiple alignment attempts and replacing the cartridge. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve this problem.

 

Check the Printhead and Ink Flow:

  • Power off the printer and remove the black ink cartridge.
  • Inspect the printhead for any clogs or dried ink. Clean the printhead using a soft, lint-free cloth or paper towel lightly dampened with warm water. Allow it to dry completely before reinserting the cartridge.
  • If the printhead is removable, carefully remove and clean it with warm water or a printhead cleaning solution. Ensure no excess ink is blocking the printhead nozzles.

Printhead Cleaning Cycle:

  • On your printer, navigate to the "Tools" or "Maintenance" menu and select "Clean Printhead." Run the cleaning process a few times to see if it improves the print quality.

Align Printer Again:

  • After cleaning the printhead, run the printer alignment again. If the alignment fails repeatedly, it could indicate a deeper issue with the printhead or cartridge.

Check the Cartridge Position:

  • Ensure the black ink cartridge is seated properly in its compartment. Even if it’s new, it might not be fully inserted, causing printing issues.

Use the Printer's Diagnostic Tool:

  • Some HP printers have a built-in diagnostic tool that can check for ink system issues. If available on your printer, run this tool to detect and resolve any problems.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, an update can resolve alignment or printing issues.

Test with Another Printhead:

  • If none of the above methods work, there could be an issue with the printhead itself. If possible, try using another printhead (if available) to see if that resolves the problem.
