Test prints, from printer console, are good.  Any prints issued from my Dell desktop are fuzzy.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fixing Fuzzy Prints from Your Dell Desktop on HP LaserJet Pro Color MFP M276nw!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If the print quality test prints from the HP LaserJet Pro 200 Color MFP M276nw are good, but prints from your Dell desktop are fuzzy, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check the Paper Type Setting (Windows)

Sometimes the paper type settings can affect print quality. Follow these steps to ensure the correct settings:

  1. From the software program you are using to print, select the Print option.
  2. Select the HP LaserJet Pro Color MFP M276nw, and then click the Properties or Preferences button.
  3. Click the Paper/Quality tab.
  4. From the Paper type drop-down list, click the More... option.
  5. Expand the list of Type is: options.
  6. Expand each category of paper types until you find the paper type you are using.
  7. Select the appropriate paper type, and then click the OK button to save the settings.

2. Check Print Job Settings

Adjust the print settings to optimize the output quality:

  1. On your computer, open the document or photo you want to print.
  2. Press Ctrl + P or click Print to open the print window.
  3. Open the printer properties or settings by clicking Printer Properties, Properties, More Settings, Printer, or Options.
  4. Change the printer settings to help improve print quality:
    • Paper type: Match the paper type to the paper you loaded into the printer.
    • Print Quality: Select the highest Print Quality option available, such as Best, Professional, or Maximum dpi.
    • Color: If printing in grayscale or black and white, disable this option to see if color printing improves print quality.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

I have now found that color print is not fuzzy but black print is.  I just installed a new toner cartridge, to see if that fixed the issue.  It did not.  Is there a way to print "black" as a different color?

Do you have the same issue when you make a copy on the printer standalone? (Place an original document on the scanner glass and make a copy to confirm hardware is working fine)

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

- Exact model number/product number (SKU number) of your HP Product (Click here for information on how to find the model number/product number).

- Error messages or Blinking lights (if any) on the unit. / - Is the error message on the printer control panel or the printer application?

Looking forward to your reply!
