I had the issue of my HP Office jet Pro 7740 print my A3 work in grayscale only despite having the correct print settings chosen. I tried the solutions offered here on the HP community but they did not work. I am writing this post to share the solution that worked with me. Found this solution online:

  1. Go to: https://support.hp.com/au-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-7740-wide-format-all-in-one-printe...

  2. Download the following driver: "HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One series Basic Driver - IT Professional Use only" You will find it under "Basic Drivers (1)

Once I installed it my printer printed the first A3 in colour I've seen 🙂
