@1ccd, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 printer is experiencing issues where every page prints in red, there could be a few reasons for this problem. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure all your ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Specifically, inspect the cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges to ensure they are not empty or near depletion. Low levels of these cartridges might cause color imbalance.

Replace Empty or Faulty Ink Cartridges:

  • If any cartridges are empty or appear faulty, replace them with new cartridges compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8020.

Print a Printer Status Report:

  • Ensure the printer is on and paper is in the tray.
  • Swipe down on the home screen to open the Dashboard.
  • Touch the Setup icon, then go to Reports > Printer Status Report.
  • Review the report for any errors noted about ink or printhead issues.

Perform a Print Quality Diagnostic:

  • From the Dashboard on the printer control panel, go to Setup > Reports > Print Quality Report.
  • This report helps identify the source of any print quality issues, including missing or improperly printing colors.

Clean Printer Heads:

  • Access the printer settings and locate the options to clean printheads. Regular cleaning can resolve issues related to clogged or malfunctioning printheads.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure your printer settings are configured correctly in the print dialog of your device or computer. Incorrect settings could cause color printing issues.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Verify if there's any available firmware update for your printer model. Visit the HP Customer Support website to check for firmware updates that might resolve known issues.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
