Hi @petrosMe,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer not cyan color!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 6950 has a clogged printhead or an air bubble blocking the cyan ink flow. Here are some steps you can try before considering a new printer:

Check Cartridge Venting

  1. Remove the cyan ink cartridge.
  2. Check if the vent is blocked—there’s usually a small sticker or plastic film that needs to be fully removed.
  3. Reinsert the cartridge and try printing again.

Manually Clean the Printhead

If automatic cleaning didn’t work, do it manually:

Method 1: With Warm Water

  1. Remove the ink cartridges.
  2. Dampen a lint-free cloth with warm water.
  3. Gently wipe the printhead nozzles (bottom side where ink comes out).
  4. Let it dry for 5 minutes, then reinstall cartridges and try printing.

Method 2: Printhead Soaking (For Stubborn Clogs)

  1. Remove the printhead (if it's removable).
  2. Place the bottom of the printhead in a shallow dish of warm, distilled water for 5-10 minutes.
  3. Dry completely before reinstalling.

Use the Printer’s "Clean Printhead" Function Again

  1. Go to Printer Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead
  2. Run the cleaning cycle 2-3 times.
  3. Print a test page.

Check for Air Bubbles (Tap the Cartridge)

  1. Remove the cyan cartridge.
  2. Hold it nozzle side down and gently tap it on a paper towel to release trapped air bubbles.
  3. Reinsert and try printing.

Let me know how it goes!
