The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer prints lines of information on one page, then moves to the next page and does the same until the printer runs out of paper. This is a possible communications issue. The print has worked successfully for 6 years.

Hi @Buckb1979,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for that info. If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e has been printing fine for years and has suddenly started printing a few lines per page and continuing endlessly until it runs out of paper, that’s a classic sign of a communication or driver problem often introduced by a Windows update, a corrupted driver, or even a stuck print job.
Here’s a step-by-step troubleshooting:
Step 1: Cancel All Print Jobs
- Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your printer > See what’s printing.
- Cancel all print jobs.
- Restart your printer and PC.
Step 2: Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool: Official HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows | Free Download hppsdr.exe
- Let it detect issues with communication, drivers, or queue errors.
- Follow any repair instructions it gives.
Step 3: Uninstall and Reinstall Printer Driver (Fully Clean Method)
- Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Remove the HP OfficeJet 9015e from the list.
- Go to Programs and Features > Uninstall any HP software.
- Restart your computer.
- Download the Full Software Solution for your model from HP’s official site.
- Reinstall the printer using Wi-Fi or USB—whichever you normally use.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
