Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet 6968 printer.I cheaped it and bought non HP ink. When I installed the cartridges the black wouldn't print.  I found a setting to tell the printer to accept non HP ink but this didn't work.  I then bought a cleaning kit and have cleaned the printer head.  That didn't work.  I then went and bought HP cartridges.  I cleaned the head again and installed the HP cartridges.  Didn't work.  All along I have been having the printer do it's own head cleaning.  I finally chose restore factory settings.  Now it will not connect to the internet and my laptop!  I am really frustrated!

Hi @Lawlor,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Update the Firmware: Click here

Kindly check if you have performed all the steps from this document by selecting your cartridge number.

If this does not help then the printer needs to be checked.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
