HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Created a drawing in different formats for the troubleshooting (Illustrator, Excel, exported to JPG and PDF), with three squares: Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Magenta and Yellow print correctly, but Cyan prints green.

I would appreciate your help. Thank you!

Hector

Hi @hector49,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Perform the steps from this document

may help resolve colors not printing correctly on your Officejet Pro 8600.  In step 9 does the page printed have the proper colors?  Does yellow print properly?  Does cyan print as green?  If so running a series of cleaning cycles may resolve the issue.  It is also possible there is color mixing between the cyan and yellow portions of the printhead.  This would require replacing the printhead.

Step 9: Print a Print Quality Diagnostics report

Print a Print Quality Diagnostics report, and then evaluate the results.

Load plain white paper into the input tray.

On the printer control panel, touch the Right Arrow () to display additional options.

Touch Setup (), touch the Down Arrow (), and then touch Reports.

Touch Print Quality Report. The Print Quality Diagnostics Report prints.

Hi Elohi,

Thank you for your reply! I followed the steps in the document that you sent before posting this message to the community. It didn't solve the the problem.

The Print Quality Diagnostics Report shows green rather than cyan, similarly to the tests that I performed and described in my posting.

The printhead is not available at HP Parts.

The printer firmware and drivers are up-to-date.

Would you have any other suggestion?

Thanks again.

Regards,

Hector

Hi again Elohi,

The mix of yellow with cyan makes sense! Could you please send me information about how the printhead works?

Thank you,

Hector

Hi Elohi,

Thank you for your follow up! Just to inform the community, my printer is not repairable because the printhead is not available.

To you Elohi, I very much appreciate your support!

Regards,

Hector
