@MeanGreen78, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Unlocking Auto-Update on HP OfficeJet Pro 9010!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

For the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 printer, turning off automatic updates might require some administrative changes. Typically, automatic updates ensure that your printer receives necessary enhancements and issue fixes regularly. If it is locked, you may need to:

Access Printer Settings:

  • Touch the Setup icon on the printer control panel to open the Setup screen.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance.

Check Update Settings:

  • Look for the Product Update or Printer Update menu.
  • If the option to turn off updates is locked, this might be due to administrative settings.

Administrative Password:

  • You may need an administrative password to unlock these settings. If you have set one previously, enter it when prompted.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
