HP Photosmart 6520 does not print black ink in Print Quality Report

As many others, I have a HP Photosmart 6520 that does not print black.  PDF and Word documents come out very light blue/gray.  When I print the Print Quality Diagnostic report, the lettering is black, but the "Black" box is all white, while the rest of the colors have the three shades in each.  I have followed all of the previous instructions:

1.  Clean printhead

2.  Align Cartridges

3.  Reboot printer

4.  Clean cartridge vent

 

What is my next step, besides throw it out the window and buy another printer?

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
