HP Printer prints black and white with maroon cast

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a one-month-old HP Envy 6455e. Everything was printing with a maroon colored cast. The black cartridge was showing low so I changed it, However that did not fix it, and everything still has the maroon cast.

 

Even when I print "Black and White", the printing has a maroon cast over the whole page, even the white.

Looking at the ink levels in HP Smart, it is saying "You're good to go on ink. No need to replace."

 

What to do?

I understand the print quality is not good. Let us try these steps:

 

Check for any ink leaks inside the printer.

Try making a standalone copy from the flatbed glass and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Clean the ink cartridges and print a test page to check the result as shown in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

 

Clean the paper pick rollers as shown here - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper
