HP Support is totally unacceptable

I purchased a HP 8020 and once my ink ran out I have been unable to get 910 ink cartridges for certain colors for two months. Staples has told me that HP ordered them to remove the products from the shelf and no word on when they will get restocked.  I called HP support on the told me I should purchase a back up printer ?!?!?!?  Are you kidding me ? I need this printer for work and I am being told to wait or buy another HP product, those are the options for a faulty product that I paid for ? Almost feel like I am being pranked.

 

Update !

They transferred me to a supervisor and she asks me how she can help. I said I need ink or a new printer. She keeps me on the phone for 20 minutes taking all of my information and then says she will send me a link for the new printer and she will throw in free shipping and through the link I have to provide my credit card info to pay $266 !!!! Again are you kidding me ? Pay $266 because you can not provide ink for a printer you sold me ?  And BTW shipping is free and you lied by telling me you were throwing that in !!

@bmalitz, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Apologies for the inconvenience. There was an issue with the new lot of HP 910 Cyan and Yellow ink cartridges for this model printer and they were recalled. If the Cartridge was manufactured in Malaysia and the Warranty End Date is between April 1st, 2022 and September 18th, 2022, please do not use this ink cartridge.

 

Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document and also check if the printer/ink cartridges are eligible for a replacement. Refer to - 'Incompatible' or 'Defective Cartridge' message

 

You need not pay for the service/replacement. I'm not sure if that was someone from HP.

 

Note: The ink cartridges should be available from 12 Dec 2020 in stores and online. Kindly recheck.
