I         My hp envy 4500 is printing blank pages but the test page shows ink printed

I understand your HP Envy 4500 is printing blank pages but the test page shows ink, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

 

Check Ink Levels: Ensure that all ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Even if the test page prints correctly, a cartridge could be low or empty.

Clean Printheads: Sometimes, printheads can become clogged. Use the printer’s built-in cleaning utility:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the setup menu.
  • Select "Tools" or "Maintenance."
  • Choose "Clean Printheads" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Align Printheads: Misaligned printheads can cause issues. You can align the printheads using the printer’s utility:

  • Go to the setup menu on the printer’s control panel.
  • Select "Tools" or "Maintenance."
  • Choose "Align Printheads" and follow the instructions.

Check Paper Settings: Ensure the paper settings match the type of paper you are using. Incorrect settings might cause printing issues.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date:

  • Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Envy 4500.
  • Install the drivers and restart your computer if needed.

Inspect Print Cartridges: Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges to ensure they are properly seated. Check for any protective tape or packaging that may still be on the cartridges.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Firmware Updates: Sometimes firmware updates can fix printing issues. Check the HP Support website for any available updates for your printer model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
