HP ENVY Inspire 7224e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I have 2 HP printers. I have just bought HP envy inspire 7200e and transferred my HP instant ink over to that. Now my old printer HP envy photo 7134 says I cant use the installed cartridges. I have just had some new ink delivered for this printer recently and want to use these up, but I cant. Any help please?

Welcome to the HP User Community.

Instant Ink cartridges only work while there is an active subscription for the printer.

If the account has been transferred to another printer,

(and)

If the account is no longer active on the "old" printer,

(then)

The Instant Ink cartridges will not work in the "old" printer.

This is normal.

The Instant Ink cartridges should be removed from the "old" printer and returned to HP.

Why?  HP retains ownership of all Instant Ink Cartridges.

You can (should) return the unused / not-working Instant Ink cartridges (from the "old" printer) to HP.

What to do?

Because you still have an active account (for a new printer), you can return any not-working / "old" printer cartridges to HP using the Pre-paid envelope that comes with most ink deliveries.  You can also request a return envelope: Sign into your active Instant Ink account and request an envelope to send back the not-working cartridges
