Hello,
I purchased my HP Office Jet Pro 8120 from Dubai, and my printer cartridges are almost empty. Now I want to change the cartridges, but the 925 and 925e models are not available to purchase where I live in the country now. Please assist me if any other model can be used for the printer.

Hi @dilarr2563
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems you're having trouble finding the correct ink cartridges for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8120 printer, specifically the HP 925 and 925e models, which are typically used with this printer. It's important to make sure that the replacement cartridges are compatible with your printer to ensure optimal performance.
Here’s what you can do:
1. Check Compatibility for Alternative Cartridges
The HP OfficeJet Pro 8120 printer is designed to use HP 925 cartridges (standard or XL), which are commonly available. However, if these are unavailable in your location, you may be able to use alternative models, but it’s essential to make sure they are compatible with your printer.
- Compatible Cartridge Models:
- HP 902 cartridges: The HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 series and other similar HP printers often use HP 902 cartridges. These may also work in your OfficeJet Pro 8120, but it's a good idea to double-check on the official HP website or consult the user manual to verify this compatibility.
- HP 933 / 932 cartridges: These can sometimes be compatible with other OfficeJet Pro printers in the 9000 series. Again, it’s essential to verify compatibility with your specific model.
2. Use High-Yield Cartridges
- If you are unable to find HP 925 or 925e cartridges, high-yield versions of the cartridges (e.g., HP 925XL) may be a viable alternative. The XL versions of cartridges typically offer more ink and longer-lasting prints but may cost more upfront.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
