Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have HP Photosmart 6520 e-all in one series. Just bought and received new HP cartridges from HP. Black won't print. I have run all tests and diagnostics, checked everything. Still no black. Now what? The cartridges were expensive and I doubt I can return them....do I have to eat their cost as well as new printer?

If you have already performed the steps from the document No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

 

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

I have the same issue, 4 new cartridges - Black wont print.    I tried all the troubleshooting, including calling the help line.   The help line just goes in circles, from hold, back to the start of the voice prompts and then hold again.

 

I have followed all the prompts and the cleaning utilities seem to burn the ink pretty fast.   25% of all ink levels (approx $25)  has been used just trying to get some thing to print....

 

How did I use all that ink, but nothing on the paper?
