My HP OFFICEJET PRO 8610 e-All-in-One Printer refuses to print, and says I must met enrolled in HP Instant Ink. I am enrolled and their web site confirms I am enrolled. I get a message that all ink cartridges except yellow need to be cleaned. How do I clean?
Thank you.

Thanks for replying.
Perform the following tasks in the order given.
Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.
Steps to Clean Ink Cartridges
Access the Printer’s Maintenance Menu:
- Open the HP printer software on your computer.
- Navigate to the Maintenance or Tools menu.
- Select Clean Printhead or Clean Ink Cartridges.
Manual Cleaning:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
- Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.
- Clean the printhead contacts inside the printer with the same cloth.
- Allow everything to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridges.
Run a Test Page:
- After cleaning, print a test page to check if the issue is resolved.
Instant Ink Enrollment Issue
Since the printer is refusing to print despite confirming your enrollment, try these steps:
Reconnect to Instant Ink:
- Log in to your HP Instant Ink account and ensure your printer is listed and active.
- If the printer isn’t syncing, try re-enrolling it by following the setup instructions.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for 2–3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to reset the system.
Let me know if this helps.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
Regards,
