i have to believe I am not the only HP all in one 7740 users (or any HP for that matter), that is beyond frustrated that
once it states that a cartridge is depleted and need of replacing, and although you know that not ALL the cartridges are depleted at the same time (even as it shows estimated levels still good), you are FORCED to change ALL cartridges !!!
Anyone have any answers or suggestions how to NOT have to change them all at once ... They are really expensive!!
Thanks

Hi @Lorenzo541,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I would need a few details to look into this issue.
- Are you seeing any specific error messages on the printer's display or your computer when this happens?
- How are you determining that only one cartridge is depleted? Are you checking through the printer's control panel, the HP Smart app, or some other method?
- Are you using genuine HP cartridges, or are they third-party or refilled cartridges?
- When did you last replace each of the cartridges, and did you replace all of them at once or one at a time?
- Have you recently updated the printer's firmware or installed any updates to the HP software on your computer?
- Have you noticed any decline in print quality or color issues that prompted you to replace the cartridges?
- Have you tried removing and reinserting the cartridges, cleaning the cartridge contacts, or performing any other troubleshooting steps?
- Have you tried power cycling the printer (turning it off, unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, then plugging it back in) to see if the issue persists?
- Is this the first time you’ve encountered this issue, or has it happened before? If it has happened before, how was it resolved?
These questions will help narrow down the cause of the issue and guide you toward an appropriate solution.
Keep me posted.
