@Berny6,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since your HP Smart Tank 7000 is not printing magenta after refilling the ink, here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Check Ink Flow & Printhead

🔹 Ensure ink is reaching the printhead

  • Even if no air bubbles are visible, there could be a blockage.
  • Open the ink tank area and gently squeeze the magenta ink tank (not too hard) to see if ink flows properly.

🔹 Manually clean the printhead

  • Remove the printhead and check for dried ink.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with warm distilled water to wipe the magenta nozzle.
  • Let it dry completely and reinstall.

Print a Test Page

  • Go to HP Smart App > Printer Settings > Print Quality Diagnostic Page
  • If magenta still doesn’t appear, continue to the next step.

 Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 5 minutes, then restart.
  • Try printing again.

Check for Firmware Updates

  • Go to HP Support website and check if there’s a firmware update for your model.
  • Install updates via HP Smart App > Printer Settings > Update Firmware

Perform a Deep Clean Cycle

  • If the normal printhead cleaning didn’t help, try a "Deep Cleaning" (found in printer settings under maintenance).

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
