HP4520 PRINTS ONLY IN RED EVEN THO BLACK IS SELECTED.

HPEnvoy 4520 is printing only in red no matter if directed by my Dell desktop or I -pad. Does not matter if you select 'start black' command on printer.

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve black not printing properly on your Envy 4520 all-in-one printer.

 

See the test page printed as shown in Step 8.  Does the black print properly in the black square near the center of the page?  Note that the black text on the test page is typically printed with a mixture of black and color inks so the text will be readable even if black or one of the colors is not working properly.
