@Duggan0, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Ink Cartridge Issues!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Check Ink Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the ink cartridge is properly installed in the printer. Sometimes, it might not be seated correctly, causing printing issues.
- Open the printer's cartridge access door.
- Wait until the ink carriage stops moving.
- Reinstall the cartridge and make sure it clicks into place securely.
Clean Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove the ink cartridge from the printer.
- Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to gently clean the contacts on the cartridge.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinstalling the cartridge.
Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about a minute before plugging it back in.
- Turn on the printer and try printing again.
Printhead Cleaning:
- Use the printer’s built-in cleaning function to clean the printhead. This can help to clear any blockages.
- Go to the printer control panel or HP Smart app and select “Clean Printhead”.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
