Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Tips for HP DeskJet 5255 Printing Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP DeskJet 5255 is printing blank pages despite having ink and running updates, here are some additional steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

2. Check Ink Cartridges

  1. Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
  2. Wait until the ink carriage stops moving.
  3. Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly.
  4. Verify the ink levels once again.

3. Align the Print Head

  1. Go to the HP printer software on your computer.
  2. Find the option to run a head alignment process. This option can often be found under the Maintenance or Tools menu.

4. Print a Test Page

  1. Open Control Panel on your computer.
  2. Go to Devices and Printers.
  3. Right-click on the HP DeskJet 5255 and select Printer Properties.
  4. Click Print Test Page and check if it prints correctly.

5. Update or Reinstall Printer Driver

  1. Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer.
  2. Uninstall the current printer driver from your computer.
  3. Install the latest driver and restart your computer if necessary.

6. Check the Paper Settings

Confirm that the paper size settings on the printer match the paper loaded in the printer.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
