Hi @rbmoto,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 7855 printer is not printing blue color even with a new color cartridge, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the new color cartridge is properly installed. Make sure it is securely seated in the correct slot, and the protective tape or cover on the cartridge has been removed.

Run Print Quality Diagnostic: Most HP printers have a built-in diagnostic tool that can help identify and fix print quality issues. Print a diagnostic page or run a print quality test from the printer's control panel. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Clean Printhead: If the printhead is clogged, it can result in poor print quality. Many HP printers have a printhead cleaning function that you can access through the printer's menu. Follow the instructions in your printer manual to clean the printhead.

Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and check for any available firmware updates. Installing the latest firmware may resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.

Check Ink Levels: Verify that the ink levels in the blue cartridge are sufficient. Some printers allow you to check ink levels through the control panel or the printer software on your computer.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Non-genuine or refilled cartridges may not work properly and can lead to print quality issues.

Color Calibration: Check if your printer has a color calibration option. Running a color calibration process can sometimes help resolve color-related printing problems.

Printer Software Settings: Check the printer software settings on your computer. Ensure that the print settings are configured correctly, and the color options are set appropriately.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
