Hi @CaryReno,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus is printing yellow as green even after changing cartridges and performing head cleaning and alignment, here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the cartridges are installed correctly and are properly seated. Sometimes, removing and re-inserting them can help.
- Perform a Deep Cleaning: Run a deep cleaning cycle from the printer's maintenance menu. This can help clear any stubborn clogs that the basic cleaning may have missed.
- Check for Cartridge Compatibility: Verify that you are using the correct and genuine HP cartridges for your printer model. Sometimes, incompatible or refilled cartridges can cause color issues.
- Inspect the Printhead: The printhead might need a more thorough cleaning. Remove it and gently clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth and some distilled water or isopropyl alcohol. Be careful not to touch the nozzles directly.
- Check Color Calibration: Perform a color calibration or print a diagnostic page to see if the issue is with the printer settings or the printhead.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, a firmware update can resolve printing issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Reset Printer Settings: Try resetting the printer to its factory settings. This can sometimes clear up any settings-related issues.
