I have used my 8600N for quite some time.  The HP Smart App downloaded the firmware upgrade without me catching it before it was installed.  All of the ink that was working flawlessly stopped being recognized as a new cartridge.  After w couple of months of using another printer; I literally broke the bank and shelled out $120.00 to purchase 4 new HP cartridges.  To my surprise; the Cyan and Black cartridges are recognized as depleted.  I shut down, removed the power cable, and waited overnight.  Powered back up and started the printer with no success.  It is impossible to actually speak to HP tech support unless it is a robot; that only knows to lead you down one path.

I know that there is nothing wrong with the printer, I can scan all the photos, letters, documents, and files that I want, but still cannot print.  Do I need to remove the printhead and keep that disengaged for some time; or is there a proper solution; that I am not aware of?
