HP Tango X
iOS

I’m getting a slight offset (double print) using a grayscale setting.  I have a Tango X (no screen).  I assume it need to run a print head alignment, but I can’t find that option.

@Geo84

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What's the application you are trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
  • What is the iOS version?

Use a Print Quality Diagnostic report to check if the printhead or ink cartridges need to be cleaned or if there is an alignment issue.

  • Load plain white paper into the tray.
  • Print the report.
  • Printers with a touchscreen or menus: On the printer, open the Settings or Setup menu, touch Tools or Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report or similar.
  • Printers without a touchscreen or menus: Go to 123.hp.com or your app store to install the HP Smart app. Click the picture of your printer on the home screen to open printer management options that include the report.
  • Check for issues indicated on the report, and then follow the instructions provided to resolve the issue.

Refer to the article: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-tango-series/20486540/document/ish_2040896-1521878-16  No black ink, wrong colours, or other print quality issues. By the end of the article you will be able to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
