HP Photosmart Wireless e-All-in-One Printer - B110a

Hi, Could someone advise me on the best printer to buy for home use, whether Deskjet or Envy? Could you explain the difference in the serial numbers, eg Deskjet 2710, 2720, and 4130?

I am unsure of their difference and I don't print or scan documents on a regular basis.

If you do not print on a regular basis I would tend to recommend a laser printer over an inkjet. Inkjet perform more reliably when used consistently. Lack of use leads to more cleaning cycles being used which consumes ink. A laser printer is pretty much immune to those types of issues. Of course in the reasonable price range that will leave you with monochrome printers not color.

In terms of Deskjet  VS Envy, the deskjets tend to be the basic models with few features and the Envy adds additional features, most notably easier to use control panels. If you go to the HP store you have to option to compare various models by clicking the "compare" box on several models which will bring up their specs side by side

Hi Repairtrooper,

I found your response to my query about the difference between the Deskjet and the Envy printers to be quite informative. Also, the advice on which printer to go for. Thank you so much 👍🏿
