My printer is not recognizing new HP 902 ink cartridges.  I have tried a reset and now I am getting the message "use the cartridges that came with the printer" but I no longer have those items.  The screen is frozen and pressing the return button has no effect.  How can I bypass using the old cartridges and clear the printer to accept the new cartridges?

Hi @markwill107,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I'd like to help!

We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer to bypass the error

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
