Hp Ink Cartridge "Reinstall new ink cartridge and try again" (Instant Ink)

I have a printer telling me to reinstall the cartridge, but I've done all of the steps prescribed here on the forum. unplug take out, turn on reinstall, and other things. I've reset and each time I continue being unable to print. When I look at status - it's showing media empty - I've cleaned contact points on both with no success. Can't call Hp, so I'm stuck here.
