Have a cartridge problem error on my Hp 8600 Plus printer.  Error says one or more cartridge appears to be damaged remove them and replace with new cartridges.  Ordered new cartridges from Hp and replaced the "damaged" cartridges.  Error still  there after replacing cartridges.  The two cartridges in question are Magenta & Cyan.

@Retired4Life, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Are you using HP ink cartridges?
  • Make sure the plastic tape if any, is removed from the new ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printhead or the printer itself. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
