No, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 does not use MICR ink. The HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 uses standard ink cartridges such as HP 950 (black) and HP 951 (cyan, magenta, yellow).

MICR ink (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is typically used in special printers for printing checks and other documents that require magnetic ink for automated reading by banking systems. If you need to print checks using MICR ink, you would need a printer specifically designed for that purpose, such as certain HP LaserJet models with MICR cartridges.
