@Bhupinder3, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a Leaking HP 805 Ink Cartridge!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you notice that your HP 805 ink cartridge is leaking from the bottom where the ink passes out for printing, follow these steps:
Stop Using the Leaking Cartridge Immediately:
- Do not continue to use the printer if you notice significant ink leakage.
Remove the Cartridge:
- Turn on the printer and open the cartridge access door.
- Wait for the carriage to move to the center and stop.
- Carefully press the front of the leaking cartridge to release it and gently remove it from its slot.
Inspect the Cartridge:
- Check for visible signs of damage or defects on the cartridge. Even if it's not broken externally, internal issues could cause leakage.
Replace the Cartridge:
- Replace the leaking cartridge with a new one.
- It is recommended to use genuine HP ink cartridges to ensure compatibility and avoid future issues.
Clean Up:
- Clean any spilled ink inside the printer with a damp cloth. Be cautious not to touch any electrical contacts or get ink on your skin.
Check Ink Levels:
- Ensure that the new cartridge is properly seated and check the estimated ink levels through the printer’s control panel or software.
Recap and Store the Leaking Cartridge:
- Cap the leaking cartridge securely to avoid any further leakage.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
