I am getting white lines on the cyan and black color blocks while printing the test page even after three times diagnosis. Not only that while printing other documents I have observed the same problem.

Hi @Abhijeet317,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

White lines or streaks in your prints, especially on specific colors like cyan and black, typically indicate issues with the printer's ink or toner system. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

1. Check Ink/Toner Levels

  • Open the HP printer software on your computer or use the printer’s control panel.
  • Ensure that the ink or toner levels are adequate. Low levels can sometimes cause streaking or missing colors.

2. Clean the Printhead

  • Open the printer’s front door or cartridge access area to access the printhead and cartridges.
  • Most printers have an option to clean the printhead through the printer software. Look for a “Printhead Cleaning” or “Maintenance” option in the printer utility on your computer.
  • If the automatic cleaning doesn’t resolve the issue, you can manually clean the printhead:
    • Remove the printhead and ink cartridges.
    • Use a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water or a printhead cleaning solution.
    • Gently clean the printhead contacts and the area where the cartridges make contact.
    • Let the printhead dry completely before reinserting it.

3. Check for Cartridge Issues

  • Remove the cyan and black cartridges from the printer.
  • Check for any physical damage or leaks in the cartridges.
  • Reinstall the cartridges carefully. If the cartridges are old or damaged, replace them with new ones.

4. Perform a Printhead Alignment

  • Go to the printer software on your computer or use the printer’s control panel to find the printhead alignment option.:
  • Follow the instructions to perform a printhead alignment. This can help correct any alignment issues that might be causing white lines.

5. Print a Diagnostic Report

  • Use the printer’s control panel or printer software to print a diagnostic test page or print quality report.
  • Check if the test page shows similar streaks or white lines. This can help identify if the issue is with the printhead, cartridges, or other components.

6. Check the Paper Type:

  • Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Using paper that is not compatible with your printer can sometimes cause print quality issues.

7. Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
  • Download and install any available firmware updates to ensure your printer has the latest fixes and improvements.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
