HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer

I opted out of the HP Ink Plan as I do not print much and my ink was drying out and when I did want to print, I couldn't.  I had to keep calling to tell them that there was NO ink, but according to their records I should have "plenty of ink."  Well, it turned into more of a hassle than it should be so I cancelled.  I have now received an e-mail stating that I am using "counterfeit or cloned devices" and if I don't I will "lose HP+ benefits and features."  What is going on?  I am NOT using counterfeit cartridges.  I am just not enrolled in the plan as it wasn't working for me.  Please advise!!!

Does your printer still have internet connection? That is a requirement for HP+ regardless of whether you are enrolled in instant ink or not. As well, have you changed the toner since you cancelled your instant ink subscription? If not that might be the issue.

Thank you for your response.  I know that my printer still has an internet connection, as I cannot print unless it is on and connected to the internet.  Yes, I did buy new ink after I cancelled, but it was not counterfeit or cloned.  It is the exact HP ink that they were sending me although I bought it at Office Depot.

I still don't know how to resolve this as it says I will "lose HP+ benefits and features unless I remove the indicated cartridges".

Thank you for your help.  Any other assistance is appreciated!
