I am out of black toner but my app says I'm still good.

It sounds like there might be a discrepancy between your HP Instant Ink account and your printer’s actual toner levels. Here’s what you can do.

 

Check Toner Cartridge Status:

  • Make sure the toner cartridge is correctly installed and not damaged. Sometimes, simply reseating the cartridge can help.

Update Ink Levels:

  • Sometimes, the app might not reflect real-time updates. Try printing a test page or running a printer diagnostic to see if it updates the ink levels.

Restart Printer and App:

  • Restart both your printer and the HP Instant Ink app to refresh their statuses.

Check Instant Ink Account:

  • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account online and ensure that your printer is properly registered and your plan is active.
