I’m here to help you troubleshoot this issue and get everything back to shipshape. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you sailing smoothly in no time:

Check the Cartridge Installation:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the printer's cartridge access door.
  • Carefully remove the color cartridge.
  • Check for any protective tape or packaging that you may have missed when installing the new cartridge.
  • Reinstall the cartridge, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  • Close the printer door and plug the printer back in.

Check for Leaks or Ink Spills:

  • Look at the color ink cartridge to see if there's any ink leaking out. If it is, the cartridge might be defective.
  • If there is ink, gently wipe the cartridge with a clean dry cloth.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn the printer off, wait for 60 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • This may help reset the error message.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes, an error like this could be resolved with a software update.

Try a Different Cartridge:

  • If possible, try a different color ink cartridge to see if the issue is with the cartridge itself.
