Try these steps:
Verify Cartridge Type:
- Ensure that you have purchased genuine HP 305 ink cartridges and they are compatible with your printer model. Sometimes, buying non-genuine or counterfeit cartridges may lead to compatibility issues.
Clean Ink Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and remove the ink cartridges.
- Clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth, slightly dampened with distilled water if necessary.
- Clean the corresponding contacts inside the printer.
Reinstall Cartridges:
- Carefully reinsert the ink cartridges into their respective slots and ensure they are seated properly.
- Close the ink cartridge access door.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer using the power button.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer and wall outlet.
- Turn on the printer.
Check Firmware Updates:
