Mac OS Sequoia. Everything image I print that has blue color in it prints with pink and blue lines. The cartridges are new. The print heads are not clogged as far as I can tell. I cannot find a way to realign or clean print heads.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Use the Printer's Built-In Tools:

  • Many HP printers have built-in tools for cleaning and aligning printheads. Access these tools through the printer’s control panel.
  • On the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025:
    • Swipe down on the control panel to open the dashboard.
    • Tap Setup (gear icon).
    • Go to Printer Maintenance.
    • Select Clean Printhead. Follow the on-screen instructions to clean the printhead.
    • After cleaning, choose Align Printhead from the same menu to ensure the printheads are properly aligned.

Print Quality Diagnostic Page:

  • Print a diagnostic page to check the quality of each color and identify any issues.
  • Instructions:
    • Swipe down on the control panel to open the dashboard.
    • Tap the Support icon.
    • Select Print Quality Report.

Check Cartridge Vent:

  • Ensure the vent on each cartridge is not blocked. Follow these steps:
    • Remove the cartridge.
    • Inspect the vent area (usually a small, rectangular opening) and ensure it's free from any obstruction.

Update Printer Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

 

Use HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart app on your Mac. The app includes tools for cleaning and aligning printheads, and it’s an excellent resource for overall printer management.
  • Instructions:
    • Download HP Smart from the Apple App Store.
    • Open the app and add your printer.
    • Go to Printer Settings and select Tools.
    • Choose Clean Printheads and Align Printheads.
