Hi @LMM2024,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to replace the faulty print cartridge in your HP OfficeJet 6600, follow these steps:

Turn on the printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer.

Open the printer access door: Lift the top cover of the printer to access the print cartridges. The cartridge carriage will move to the center.

Remove the faulty cartridge:

  • Gently pull the faulty cartridge toward you to release it from its slot.
  • Once it is free, carefully pull it out of the carriage.

Unbox the new cartridge:

  • Take the new cartridge out of its packaging.
  • Remove any protective tape or plastic covering from the cartridge. Be sure not to touch the ink nozzles or copper contacts.

Install the new cartridge:

  • Slide the new cartridge into the empty slot in the carriage.
  • Push it in until it clicks securely into place.

Close the printer access door: Lower the top cover back down to its closed position.

Check the printer: The printer should recognize the new cartridge, and the error message should disappear.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
