HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Printer - H711n

Mystery: I have been going through ink cartriges ( mostly Black) at a rate where I've been replacing them about once a month+ and only using the printer occasionally.

Today I have been getting a printing error 61011 bed and could not clear it.

I reinstalled the driver, Cleaned the print head & there are not any jams anywhere is the printer.

These actions did not resolve the error.

I finally took off the printer covers and noticed an ink reservoir where the printer head "goesHome to rest".

This reservoir was over 1/4 full of black ink.

I solved the mystery of where my Black Ink has been going for the past 6 months.

Conclusion: It's cheeper for me to get a new printer than keep feeding this machine with cartridges.

Not to mention I have 2 newer HP all in one printers that have an insatiable appetite for Black Ink cartridges.

I'm switching to non cartridge printers for my home and offices.

Does anyone have a better option?
