Hi @Odinson99

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 7612 is having trouble printing black ink despite replacing the cartridges and cleaning the printheads. Here are some advanced troubleshooting steps to try:

1. Perform a Deep Printhead Cleaning

  • On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead.
  • Run the cleaning cycle multiple times if necessary.
  • Print a test page to check if black ink appears.

2. Check Ink Levels & Cartridge Authenticity

  • Open HP Printer Assistant on your Windows 11 PC.
  • Navigate to Estimated Ink Levels and confirm the black cartridge has ink.
  • If using third-party cartridges, consider switching to genuine HP ink.

3. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Try printing again.

4. Update Printer Firmware

  • Visit HP’s official support page here to check for firmware updates.
  • Install any available updates and restart the printer.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s support page.
  • Run the tool to diagnose and fix printing issues.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, it could be a clogged printhead or a hardware failure. Let me know if you need help with any of these troubleshooting steps!
