The HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer requires specific ink cartridges that may vary by region. If you are experiencing compatibility issues with your HP 61 tri-color cartridge, ensure the cartridge matches the specifications for your region.

 

Supported Ink Cartridges for HP ENVY 5530:

North America & Asia Pacific (excluding India, Indonesia, China & Japan)

  • Black: HP 61 Black
  • Color: HP 61 Tri-color

Western Europe

  • Black: HP 301 Black
  • Color: HP 301 Tri-color

Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Japan & CIS

  • Black: HP 122 Black
  • Color: HP 122 Tri-color

China, India & Indonesia

  • Black: HP 802 Black
  • Color: HP 802 Tri-color

To resolve the issue:

  1. Verify Cartridge Numbers: Ensure the cartridge purchased matches one of the compatible models listed above for your region.
  2. Replace Non-HP Cartridges: Using non-HP or refilled cartridges can cause compatibility issues. Replace with genuine HP cartridges.
  3. Check for Proper Installation: Follow these steps to properly install the cartridge:
    • Open the cartridge access door.
    • Wait for the carriage to move to the cartridge access area.
    • Insert the tri-color cartridge into the left slot with the contacts facing the rear of the printer.
