If your HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer indicates that the yellow ink cartridge is damaged despite trying multiple new ones, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Solution 1: Turn the Printer Off and On
- Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
- Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Turn on the printer by pressing the Power button again.
Solution 2: Install the Ink Cartridge Correctly
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Remove the ink cartridge:
- Push in on the cartridge to release it.
- Pull it firmly towards you.
Insert the cartridge:
- Ensure that the colored dot on the cartridge matches the slot.
- Slide the cartridge into its slot.
- Press it forward until it clicks into place.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
