HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e All-in-One Printer

I want to print without being enrolled in HP print program. It is a home printer I only use when needed.

Hi @Screennamedis

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

You can absolutely use your HP printer without being enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program.

However, there are a few steps to ensure smooth functionality:

1. Use Regular HP Ink Cartridges

If you're enrolled in the Instant Ink program, the cartridges provided through the subscription are specific to that service and may stop working once you cancel the subscription.

Purchase standard HP cartridges (not Instant Ink cartridges) from a retailer to replace the ones currently in your printer.

2. Check Firmware and Account Linkage

If you’ve canceled the subscription, ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date.

HP regularly releases new firmware versions for printer enhancements, app updates, or issue fixes. Update the firmware regularly to get the most out of your printer.

Click on the link below for instructions on how to update the firmware of your printer.

3. Install Standard Ink and Reset the Printer

Once you’ve got standard HP cartridges, install them and reset the printer if necessary:

Turn the printer off, unplug it, and wait for about 1 minute before powering it back on.

Follow the above steps and your HP printer should function seamlessly with regular cartridges.

Let me know if you need further guidance!
