Incompatible Print Cartridge resetting the regionalization for HP Officejet Pro 7740

Hello. I have an HP Officejet Pro 7740 G5J38A. The printer originally came with HP 954 and 954XL cartridges. I have now moved to the USA from Bermuda, and I am NOT able to find HP 954 or 954XL cartridges.

 

I was only able to purchase HP 953XL cartridges. As soon as I put the 952 cartridges, the printer LCD displays: "Incompatible Cartridges: The indicated cartridges are not intended for use in this printer."

 

I am writing this message to HP Support, to request resetting the regionalisation of my printer, to accept the 952 cartridges. Could you please help me by sending full instructions on how to reset the regionalisation of my printer and also if I need to input any special codes, if I need to input them in any sort of regionalisation settings menu so that I can use these cartridges?

 

Please help me as I have just purchased brand new genuine HP Ink Cartridges for my HP Officejet 7740 Pro printer and I am stuck! Thanks.

@DeezyBda, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue. 

 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
