Hi, I’ve been using Tesco third party cartridges with no problem until today and suddenly I get the error message ‘incompatible cartridges’ and I cannot print. The cartridge was working fine and is only a few months old. I’ve tried all the ‘fixes’ I’ve seen on this and other sites to no avail.

Therefore I can only assume this is due to a firmware update, can you please confirm?
I’m hoping this isn’t the issue as HP and all other major manufacturers are legally obliged to accept 3rd party cartridges.

However I have found a workaround that may work for others, not sure how long for though!So, restore factory defaults and tick do not update box in settings, working fine now so I hope this helps some of you?
